Several AccountChek updates are getting deployed on August 6, 2020 to the Encompass LOS integration!
1. Automatic update of the BORROWER EMAIL ADDRESS upon import of an AccountChek Order
When a verifier imports an AccountChek or AccountChek Plus order using the Reissue key or Order Id, our system will now perform an automatic check of the borrower email address.
The email from the loan file (see screenshot below) will be checked against the email of the imported AccountChek order. If it does not match, the AccountChek order will be updated with this email address. (If the imported AccountChek order is assigned to the Co-Borrower, the co-borrower email in the loan file will be matched.)
Why was this change made? This addresses a pain point in which AccountChek orders created in some POS platforms do not have the borrower's real email address associated with the order. Now that the borrower (or co-borrower) email address is updated with the email address in the Encompass loan file upon import, two issues are resolved:
"Resend E-mail" requests will reach the intended borrower. *This request is useful if the verifier wants the borrower to add additional accounts to an existing order rather than creating a new order.*
"Needs Update" emails will reach the borrower if the connection is lost with their bank account.
2. Ability to Download, Refresh, or Close a report from the Order Management tab before the order is Viewed.
The verifier will no longer need to "View" a report in order to "Download" it.
The verifier will no longer need to "View" and "Download" a report before having the option to "Refresh" it.
The verifier will no longer need to "View" and "Download" a report before having the option to "Close" it.
The following options will be available as soon as the report is ready:
3. Ability to select the account history when requesting a refresh of an AccountChek report
Before this change, a verifier would have to use the AccountChek dashboard to refresh an order with a different amount of account history.
A verifier can now click "Refresh Report" and view a pop-up of options for the refresh request.
Clicking the drop-down under "Account History" will reveal options available to the customer. Select the days back desired, and click "Create."
4. Ability to select the bank accounts included when requesting a refresh of an AccountChek report
Before this change, a verifier would have to use the AccountChek dashboard to remove a bank account from a refreshed report.
In the new refresh pop-up, the verifier can now un-check accounts that should not be included on the refreshed report.
Un-check the account(s) to remove, and then click "Create."
5. In the Order Management tab, the "Document ID" column has been changed to "Order ID."
Why? The AccountChek Order ID is a more helpful identifier than the Encompass Document ID when working with an AccountChek order.
6. Removed the "Customer Bank Accounts" box and the ability to request specific bank accounts with the VOA order.
Why? According to customer feedback and internal data, this feature caused confusion for both the borrower and the lender when the wrong bank account was selected for the borrower to connect. We have removed the feature to simplify and improve borrower experience with the AccountChek product.
BEFORE 8/6/20 deployment - Ability for verifier to add customer bank accounts:
AFTER 8/6/20 deployment - "Customer Bank Accounts" and "Add Account" button removed:
All borrowers clicking on the AccountChek link and entering the AccountChek experience will self-select or search for the Financial Institutions they want to connect.
